Through an agreement with March Networks we pioneer the integration of video surveillance into Positouch, allowing a transaction by transaction monitoring of point of sale systems by video. The loss prevention and investigation solution is the best in the industry, and Positouch users can identify fraudulent situations in a matter of minutes. 

CC Productions is happy to announce the launch a Video Surveillance Systems division. We have been appointed the dealer for March Networks, which produces a rich line of Linux-based Digital Video Recorders that interface to POSitouch, providing restaurateurs with unparalleled exception based reporting from the POS, linked to full motion color video clips for analysis.

The video surveillance and data mining POS Solution integrates a suite of software tools with the March Networks ™ Digital Video Recorder (DVR) systems to provide loss prevention managers at chain stores and other restaurants with the ability to quickly associate transaction data with high quality video evidence.

The POS Solution complements digital video recording and existing exception monitoring tools and allows restaurants to identify, observe and confirm fraudulent situations in a matter of minutes.

Specific functionality for loss prevention and investigation purposes has been implemented based upon customer research. These features provide the ability to determine, capture and store exception data, perform interactive queries, and display the associated video and receipt data. Searching can be based upon any number of data criteria such as specific transaction type, date/time, operator, tender type, amount, SKU number, etc.

Additionally, restaurant managers are able to receive real-time notification when a specified transaction occurs. Because both the POS Software suite and the DVR systems are Internet Protocol (IP) network-based, investigations can be completed from any corporate network location within the store, or from a regional or head office.

The integrated solution offers advanced digital video recording features such as high quality and high frame rate video that can be recorded at rates up to 30 frames per second, video authentication, remote access, and high system reliability.

For long-term storage and distribution requirements, managers have the ability to save video and transaction data on permanent storage devices such Compact Discs, DAT or VHS tape.

There is a wide range of video recorders for both big and smaller retail locations. The compact, 4-camera 3204 DVR and the wall-mount, 8-camera 3108 DVR are ideal for smaller retail locations. Both units are easy to install, operate and maintain. Integration with cash registers enables viewing of live or archived receipts together with synchronized video, creating a powerful tool for loss prevention managers. Fully synchronized audio recording, remote networking and external CD archiving give these units a high level of versatility. For larger operations, there is an array of advanced hardware to meet the needs, even at an enterprise level.
