GET READY FOR DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
Starting from next month, Daylight Saving Time begins three weeks earlier (on March 11) and ends one week later (November 4) in most of the United States. Systems and applications that process dates and times will be affected by this change, including Positouch systems.

Reminiscent of the the Y2K situation, computers around the country will have to be adjusted to cope with the change. Mission-critical systems and applications, including Positouch, could exhibit some strange behavior. Fore example, your check files, as well as employee punches may be off by one hour for the three weeks in March and one week in November.

Are you itching to try that sleek, beautiful looking new Windows Vista? We understand the temptation, but we'd like to advise you not to upgrade your Point of Sale computer to Vista yet, because it is still undergoing Positouch compatibility testing. 

Positouch and its allied applications have not been fully tested to the point at which we can safely guarantee compatibility with Vista installation, and we plan to let our customers know in the coming months when Positouch is fully compatible with Windows Vista. Switching to Windows Vista is not quick because of the large changes to Microsoft operating systems that Windows Vista has introduced. READ MORE
